‘WE’ :

DIFFERENTIALLY

SITUATED

MULTISPECIES

COLLECTIVITIES

Remarkable worlds of microbial life surround us wherever we are.
These worlds are full of color and creation.
This is particularly true of the Atacama Desert in northern Chile,
the driest place on Earth.

The region is home to microbes that date back over 3 billion years
and are thought to be the origins of life itself: these were
the first organisms to produce oxygen which allowed
multicellular lifeforms to arise from inorganic matter.

Relatively, humans are very recent arrivals into this space.
As a species, ‘we’ are the aliens here.

Welcomed into worlds of abundance, curiosity, and mutuality.
